Candy Shoppe - Adventure Session

I was talking to my friend, Rhiannon, on the phone discussing photography and the "mode" in which I prefer to work.  I really enjoy hanging out with children/families and just watching them do what they do.  The everyday occurences are so special to me.  Baking Cookies, riding bikes, playing dress up, craft time...these are all things that seem to go hand in hand with childhood and hold a dear place in my heart.  It has been during these moments that I have watched my own children learn to share, follow directions, become confident in their creativity and bond as siblings.   And then Rhiannon named exactly what I was expressing to her - "Adventure Sessions"!  Genius, right?!  Oh, it has snowballed in my brain since then.  Baking cookies with grandma, day at work with dad, reading and crafts with mom, first trip to the barber shop, fishing with grandpa, soccer practice, and my first "official" adventure session....going to the candy shoppe.....

My first video!!  Woo Hoo!  The idea is for the collection of images to be displayed in a book and enjoyed together.  I will figure out how to upload the video in high def, but you get the idea.  Call for your first adventure session.  I have tons of ideas!

Audrey Lucille

She looks just like her daddy in this next image.

Still in limbo between new big brother and baby boy.....I know, I know, I'm sappy! Something about witnessing the transition of the next chapter of a family's life is so powerful to me!

I not only fell in love with this family, I fell in love with this little boy.  He has a tender spirit and empathetic nature that makes my heart melt.  The last image doesn't look like much, but what was happening is forever imprinted on my heart.  He was talking about his favorite color and every time a family member stated their favorite color, he would add it to HIS list of HIS favorites.  He did not want anyone to feel left out.  How sweet is that?!  I love how mom is snuggling her other boy and intently listening to him.  Precious moments that make me melt! :)
