About Me

It feels so odd to put a big ole' picture of myself up there.  I'm always the one behind the camera and don't look at images of myself often, but nonetheless, that is me.  Nice to meet you!

About me....hmmm....the obvious is that I am a wife to my husband Brad.  Literally the second I laid eyes on him I knew that I would marry him.  Like when your grandparents say "they just knew", I just knew!  Crazy, right?!  I strutted my stuff for awhile and he eventually noticed the inevitable and here we are 13 years, 2 kids, 2 states, 1 house and 12 cars later.  He drives me crazy, but I can't imagine my life without him.  I have two boys, Brad and Nolan.  I simply adore these two little souls and never knew love til they came around.  They amaze me daily.

I'm from upstate New York and moved to Illinois for my hubby's job, which was supposed to be for a 2 year contract.  Ten years later, here we still are!  Just this year, I can say I feel like I'm not a visitor anymore and have even adopted some "midwest lingo", but that's a whole other blog post!  I miss New York pizza and true Buffalo Wings (yes it deserves capitalization!), but not driving in crazy traffic makes up for it.  :)

That's just outside stuff, though.  The real 'about me' is that I'm a total sap and feel such gratitude daily about the tiny stuff.   I appreciate that my hubby brings me flowers randomly. I appreciate that my mom comes to visit me and wants to buy us groceries (HELLO, MOM.  I'm 36 years old- I can buy my own groceries! She still insists, anyway.)  I love that the friends we have met in Illinois are truly our extended family.  I cry when I hear children sing, dance, act, pretty much do anything.  And my story goes on and on......

But I want to learn your story.  What is lurking underneath the obvious?  Let's get to know each other and let me capture your family's moments - the real 'about you'.  That's when life gets fun!  Hope to talk to you soon!
