Tough Day At The Office

Oh, she is cute alright! Blond, wispy hair. Blue eyes. The 18 month old toddle. All of the makings of a great shoot. Right? Well, let me tell you, I earned every penny I made, because she did NOT want to smile. At All. This is what I was working with the first half hour....

Not terrible, but not one for the Christmas card, ya know? Well, after I did get some smiley shots for mom, this is what I was working with the last half hour.....

I crack up every time that I look at these. She knew what she wanted. It was NOT to take any stinkin' pictures. She wanted to play on that playground! What was I thinking? Oh, I was seeing the perfect greenery and the pine cones. Totally missed the HUGE playground! Let's just say I'm sure a couple of grandmas out there got Christmas cards with their sweet little angel playing in the sandbox. Too funny!

Marsh Engagement

Well, of course with the last name of Marsh, we HAD to take pics in the marsh! It was only fitting. I think that they had no idea what to think of me, because for our "leisurely" walk thru the park I was carrying a ladder, a couch, a diffuser and my equipment (I like to be prepared)! I have to tell the truth...Rich did help with the couch, but he definitely thought I was crazy. Love it! We laughed alot, or they were laughing at me...it was hard telling...but I like the images we got. My favorite is the one of her laughing with her head back. Love!

Twelve Months.

Twelve months came and went! I have taken this little guy's photos every month for the last year on or very close to his actual birthday. Every photo shoot I have learned something new. Sometimes it was a technical aspect of photography. Sometimes it was a creative element that I had never tried before (I am going to run it by his mom if she would mind if I showed some of our "Day in the Life" shoot. VERY CUTE!). The family is always up for anything...we just might have to keep this up for one more year, because we still have so many ideas!

Nolan 1 Year

Seriously? A year? My goodness time flies! Well, there were some very long, sleepless nights....don't get me wrong...but, it seems that it went by so quickly! I think that that is God's way....to make the sleepless nights go by the wayside when you look at that sweet face that is your CHILD, your LOVE. Thank you God for blessing me with 2 beautiful sons and making my heart bigger than I ever thought possible!

Oh, did I mention how HARD it is to photograph my Nolie Bear? If he is not perfectly rested he has dark under eye circles that make him look, well, not like a sweet cherub baby! Honestly, his baby book is lacking. I know that sounds terrible, but he should have SLEPT MORE! :)

These may not be the most technically sound pics, but I was so excited to capture his joyous self!

Catching Up.

Well, it seems I have some shoots that have not been posted. This is one of them. I actually took this little guys 3 month photos back in July and got a call back to do his 6 month photos and his cousins 1 year photos! We battled runny noses and nap times, but I think that we got some great pics. They are 6 months apart, but I think the little guy is going to be bigger than her sooner rather than later!

Cousins

These two adorable cousins are only 3 months apart! Their mommies, who are sisters, planned it that way. I bet there is one happy grandma out there! Double the fun! Just wait until they are both mobile....holidays will be a blast when they are all together. Actually, the moms each have older sons who are also months apart! Crazy. There is an oldest girl, but she is still the only girl...until one of them gets pregnant again!

Got It!

I am so thrilled that I caught B's "look". This is the face of his that I love the most and now it is forever captured. Yippee!
