Spunk

This was my idea of a perfect session.  I was trying to capture her 6 year old interests and get a glimpse of her many moods.  She is spunky, that's for sure!  She loves to pose and it took awhile to break past that, although she is hysterical when she is posing! (America's Next Top Model may be calling her before long.)  We just hung out together for about 2 hours and chit chatted about life, school, art and of course dress up!  Love this girl, from the bottom of my heart!

Strike a Pose

I normally get calls to photograph babies - or weddings.  Strange mix, I suppose, but I know what to expect.  The tween generation was a whole new ball game for me! They pulled out poses before I even had the camera ready! LOL  Mom wanted some traditional family pics and I think in less than 45 minutes I delivered what they wanted.  That's a first for me!  Working with babies seems to run longer than that.  We didn't have to stop for a snack break or a diaper change once - HA!

Family

Beautiful fall day, beautiful family, beautiful back yard = easy day at the office for me!  :)

Jackson

I always get a kick when couples have a baby and then when the second baby comes along, it is the opposite sex.  All of the stereotypical stuff that the parents are usually immersed in (princesses or trucks, etc.) is completey turned upside down and they begin to walk down a parallel path simultaneously.  Obviously, girls and boys relate to the world differently....they naturally are drawn to different games, different activities, the list goes on.  I love to see a daddy not afraid of a tea party and moms who aren't afraid to rough house (a little).  I love to see a brother who will play dolls and a sister who plays trucks.  I know this isn't politically correct and we are supposed to expose children to all types of toys, but from my experience, the stereotypical interests usually win out in the end.

I'm excited to watch this brother and sister grow together.  I'm excited to see them at her pink kitchen whipping up some mischief and I'm excited to see her princesses go for a ride on a John Deere.  ;)  Oh mom and dad, what a fun journey ahead raising these two littles!

15 and Counting.

Uhm...yeah...I sure didn't look like this when I was a sophomore in HIGHSCHOOL! She is just as beautiful on the inside as the outside. What is so refreshing, is that she doesn't even realize her beauty. She is beyond laid back, up for anything and always quick with a smile. The type of girl that you just want to be friends with.
